Wet Folding Origami

Wet folding is a fairly new technique that was created by Akira Yoshizawa. The major reason for this technique is allow you the ability to curve your folds. These types of Origami are wonderful because it allows you to go even further than you have before.

You can make a sculpture using this technique because it allows you to make bends that you couldn?t do before. You can make a smiley face or a frown where you could only make a straight face. You can also create hair that has a flow to it where as before you could only have straight hair.

One thing you need to remember when you are creating wet fold Origami pieces is that you must work quickly. The reason for this is that you need to get the design created before the paper dries. You need to avoid unfolding because this will cause the paper to become brittle and rip. It may take several attempts before you get the design you are looking for, but don?t give up. Learn from your mistakes.
