Have you ever found yourself in the bathroom and thought to your self, hey, why not make some toilet paper origami? Well, someone did and let me tell you, either they have a very creative mind or they have too much time on their hands.

The art of origami has leant itself to many different forms, there is money origami, towel origami and even toilet paper roll origami. Basically, if you can fold it, you can create a lovely origami design from it.

So who thought of toilet paper origami and why? There really isn’t a definitive answer to that question but many people and enthusiasts believe that it originated in hotels, cruise lines and upscale resorts as a decorative way to spruce up the bathrooms.

Hotels and cruise lines for instance, have made the art of towel folding or origami towel designs pretty popular with their guest by leaving various animals folded up on the beds. Why not take this creative idea and extend it to the bathroom, right?

It would definitely get my attention for sure, but would you want to use the pretty designed paper? Probably not and this may be a drawback if you decide to do this in your own home. I have to agree that it would definitely give your guests something to talk about, well at least the first guest who uses the powder room cause after that your design is all gone.

The designs that people make vary from just a simple triangle fold, to a more elaborate fan like crimped fold. Regardless, it is an attractive way to present boring old toilet paper. Just be sure that you let your guests know that they can actually use the toilet paper or provide them with an extra roll to use instead of your beautifully designed one.
